Role description
This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's growing Forensic Technology team. This team is a national practice dealing with a variety of global fraud, corruption and regulatory investigations.
The Forensic Analytics team is a global group of specialists that can help capture, manage and analyse large and disparate data sets in order to support commercial investigations and complex litigation. We combine our forensic accounting and investigative skills with state of the art computer labs, cutting-edge technology and advanced data analytics to offer innovative solutions to our clients' legal and regulatory problems: it is the act of turning everyday information into useful and actionable insights that inform management decision making.
As the technical expert you will work alongside our wider forensic investigation teams developing innovative solutions and advising on their projects, collecting, processing, analysing and interpreting large client data sets. In addition to the technical aspect, the role is client facing and will involve periods working directly with the client on site. Within the Forensic Analytics team you will also have direct responsibilities for developing new propositions, solving our client issues and leading business development opportunities directly in the external marketplace.

Responsibilities
A Senior Manager will have responsibility for:
- Leading large technical teams, providing them with support and guidance as required
- Managing the complete lifecycle of multiple projects simultaneously
- Taking responsibility for delivery against milestones and managing budgets
- Ensuring risks are monitored and controlled appropriately
- Working directly with clients to scope engagements and respond with appropriate propositions
- Developing a role within the Forensic Technology team as a whole, leading business development opportunities and helping to grow the practice
- Have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
Requirements
To qualify for the role you must have:
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree obtained in a field with emphasis on technical, analytical and/or problem-solving
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to build relationships and liaise directly with clients
- Extensive commercial knowledge and understanding
- Strong problem solving and the ability to think conceptually
- Experience in leading teams / mentoring junior team members
- Experience of business development
- Ability to develop client bids and proposals
- Experience of leading project-based delivery
- Willingness to work abroad
Required Technical Skills:
- Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Query Optimisation, Database Design and Implementation)
- Microsoft SSIS or other BI/ETL package (e.g. Warehouse Builder, Business Objects)
- Experience of other RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SAP)
- Ability to analyse and interpret large data sets from a wide variety of sources, with or without schema knowledge
- Programming experience in C# or other language (e.g. VB.Net, Python, Java )
- Familiarity with software development life cycle and OO development
Additional desirable experience includes:
- Data analysis experience in a forensic role
- Experience of working with financial data sets
- Experience/understanding of electronic disclosure technologies and computer forensics
- Competency in one of the following:
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Data Visualisation (Qlikview, Tableau)
- Experience of SAS, SPSS, SAP
- Training/Qualification in Project Management principles (e.g. PRINCE II, PMP)
- Experience in Microsoft SSRS
- Experience/understanding of big data tools and concepts (e.g. Hadoop)
- Experience/understanding of SAAS concepts and technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
