Role Summary/Purpose
The OPSI Manager is accountable for ensuring effective demand fulfillment of an assigned portfolio of products from Order to Remittance. Working closer with local planning teams, a Key focus area is the translation of the forecast demand into a reliable build plan for finished goods. Another is to ensure that the business meets with customer promises in terms of On Time Shipment, Product Availability Inventory Optimisation.
Essential Responsibilities
• The translation of the forecast demand into a reliable build plan for finished goods.
• Cross-functional coordination with the production and production support teams, this includes the planning, QC and logistics departments such to resolve daily issues and process barriers to order fulfilment.
• Regular reporting of key fulfilment metrics and to act accordingly to ensure the SOP process is effective for the assigned product portfolio.
• Close management of Finished Goods Inventory and a clear focus on increasing inventory turns
• Driving effective decision making across the factory with a strong external focus that yields improved accuracy in terms of product availability, demand fulfilment and SCOT.
• Takes ownership of key issues identifies the root cause of supply chain failure at the product level. Takes action to prevent recurrence. Maintains an input level that works across functions in a fluid fashion. Has the ability to escalate issues through prioritised and coordinated actions.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree, or eqivalent and relevant supply chain experience2. Exceptional leadership and a proven ability to drive change in a matrix environment 3. Ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change4. Clear understanding of all key Supply Chain processes and IM systems including JDE, Oracle and also Outlook 2010 packages e.g. Excel, Powerpoint and Word
