Demand Manager Position Summary The Demand Manager will develop and implement processes to ensure viable alternatives are identified for all items being removed from the assortment. Once identified, items need to be cross-referenced, historically stored and aligned across all business units and cross-functional groups, recommended to the customer on the websites, communicated cross-functionally and ultimately at the customer level. Feedback mechanisms are needed to address any internal or external concerns. This will require on-going communications with Pricing, the Sales Force, and potentially direct customer communication and interaction. Primary Responsibilities Develop key reporting measures and accurate utillization of statistical data to monitor and communicate the overall impact of the changes to sales and margin On-going measurement and support of the existing demand shaping tools; i.e. easy savings, switch and save, hard sub tables, and contract rolls while taking the overall impact of the Wholesaler activity into consideration. On-going review, development, and altering of existing business rules to increase our ability to shift demand Coordinate task assignment and gain agreement from cross-functional participants and business units Perform on-going risk analysis to determine contingency plans and triggers, understand the impact of the items being removed to NSP and Prop items all while working with cross-functional teams to ensure support and execution Basic Bachelor ??s Degree Required Minimum 6 years working experience in a Manager and Project Manager capacity, or any combination thereof Preferred: Proven skills in Project Management, team leadership, organization, communication (verbal written), process/financial management, problem resolution, strategic planning and customer service skills Must be able to interface successfully with various personalities, cultures and work environments Must be able to readily adjust priorities and tasks in response to business needs Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Word) and Brio Detail Oriented and the ability to manage a large volume of detail Candidate must demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects and task simultaneously and to work within tight deadlines and balance workload effectively Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 10% Staples is an EEO/AA Employer Follow Company Your information may be shared with the company.
