Demand Planner II Job in San Francisco, California Us

BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Demand Planner II is responsible for owning a complete end to end forecast of a specific product portfolio. This person manages the collaborative forecasting process for their business, leveraging historical performance data combined with cross functional partner forward looking intelligence to develop the most accurate forecast at L2/L3 Sub-channel, down to item and item/DC level.

PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:
* End to End forecast ownership for specific business portfolio
* Communicate to broader organization forecast key assumptions, volumes, gaps, risks and opportunities for specified portfolio
* Integration with marketing and sales to have clear understanding of planned consumer marketing initiatives, and planned customer trade promotional activity
* Development of statistical base line forecasts to support component driven forecasts and provide sales a baseline for trade planning
* Manage business risks/opportunities to support gap fill discussions
* Review, and adjust when necessary, marketing and sales planned lift forecasts
* Own trade inventory planning to support shipment forecast
* Maintain close communication with supply planning counterparts to ensure harmonization of supply/demand balance
* Development of item level and item/national forecasts for specific subset of product families
* Continually seek opportunities to streamline EVF process and drive efficiency
* Business volume reporting and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: MBA Preferred, focus in Supply Chain, Marketing, Analytics

Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years, preferably with CPG background

* Decision maker, ability to lead cross functional teams
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong communication/presentation skills
* Ability to rapidly synthesize information
* Solid understanding of Nielsen consumption reporting
* Knowledge of shipment demand drivers (Base Consumption, Incremental Consumption and Trade Inventory)
