Demand Planner III Job in San Francisco, California Us
BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Demand Planner III is responsible for forecast development and ownership for a specified product portfolio from L2/L3 sub-channel down to item and item/DC. This person will be supported by a Demand Planner I and work various cross functional partners to ensure the best intelligence and analysis is incorporated into the demand plan to ensure the best possible forecast is developed. The Demand Planner III will also be the key contact point for all forecast related communications including key assumptions and RO's regarding their specific product portfolio.
PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:
* End to End forecast ownership for specific business portfolio
* Management and development of Demand Planner I
* Communicate to broader organization forecast key assumptions, volumes, gaps, risks and opportunities for specified portfolio
* Integration with marketing and sales to have clear understanding of planned consumer marketing initiatives, and planned customer trade promotional activity
* Development of statistical base line forecasts to support component driven forecasts and provide sales a baseline for trade planning
* Manage business risks/opportunities to support gap fill discussions
* Review, and adjust when necessary, marketing and sales planned lift forecasts
* Own trade inventory planning to support shipment forecast
* Maintain close communication with supply planning counterparts to ensure harmonization of supply/demand balance
* Development of item level and item/national forecasts for specific subset of product families
* Continually seek opportunities to streamline EVF process and drive efficiency
* Business volume reporting and analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: MBA preferred, focus in Supply Chain, Marketing, Analytics
Years of Experience: 5 - 7 years supply chain experience, preferably with CPG background

* Solid understanding of Nielsen consumption reporting
