DEMAND PLANNER at SCHIPHOL-RIJK
What you’ll do
As a Demand Planner you will provide a product based market forecast, to a targeted level of forecast accuracy, enabling accuracy of out-looking, customer service and inventory objectives to be achieved.
How you’ll do it
- Providing a product based forecast to drive the business, planning to ensure delivery of sales plans, customer services, cost and inventory.
- Building the sales forecast through the utilization of the planning tool. To build an accurate base forecast, and collaboration with sales and product management to add incremental promotional and new product introduction forecasts.
- Identifying opportunities to improve forecast accuracy KPIs, implement improvement plans and track results.
- Participate in the EMEA SOP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
- Communicating proactively to Supply Planning, Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other teams on significant changes in forecasted demand to ensure appropriate actions are taken to maintain business performance.
- Championing good Supply Chain planning by educating others on supply chain planning, visiting Amsterdam and regional sales offices as necessary.
- Contributing to improving the EMEA Supply Chain process and systems by identifying improvement opportunities working with local and global colleagues to deliver improvements.
What you’ll need
- 3+ Years experience as a Demand Planner.
- Experience within the fast moving consumer goods market.
- You have a good understanding of demand planning techniques, processes and systems within a European business.
- You need to be excellent in prioritizing, time management and have organizational skills.
- You are assertive with excellent influencing skills – and have in particular experience in developing effective relationships with sales and product management teams
- You are excellent with numerical analysis and are a proficient user in spreadsheet skills.
What you’ve done
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of identifying process improvements, managing change and delivering quantifiable improvements in KPIs. Have experience of a dynamic, high SKU count consumer business and approach your work with a proactive and “hands-on” style. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain direction without direct supervision is essential to your success in this fast- paced business.
