Position Summary:
This position is a working lead that is to ensure all district process designs meet applicable local codes, are economical and constructible. Maintains department communications with client, and provides leadership and direction to project teams. Ensure electrical department is properly staffed with qualified personnel to assure meeting schedules and budget. Assist in client relations and developing new business. Develop department standards and people infrastructure
Essential Functions:
• Direct and execute engineering high-quality designs and studies in accordance with industrial and engineering department standards and construction estimates.
• Ensures designs are executed effectively by design teams and makes adjustments to plans as needed.
• Ensures all work products are consistent with industry standards and I accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.
• Ensure scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by management and all project personnel, including client and responsible for managing all changes in project scope, budget or schedule
• Tracks department schedules and budget progress with project milestones and take all action necessary to keep projects on track and within budget
• Generate project reports for management and clients as needed
• Coordinate assignments with staff, project sponsor, project manager, district management
• Determine and institute the most cost-effective manner in which to perform the electrical engineering for the project and to meet client goals and objectives
• Provide hands-on support to design teams for complex engineering situations
• Responsible for managing and directing the Electrical Department’s personnel by providing supervision, communication, training, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project and district objectives.
• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of projects, arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree electrical Engineering
• 10+ years related experience
• P.E. License required
• MUST HAVE DESIGN BUILD EXPERIENCE
• Proven proficiency in design and development of electrical systems
• Strong AutoCAD software and other Windows-based software skills
• Possess well developed knowledge of industrial building and design and construction process, grain and feed industry a plus
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
• Conscientious, team player who drives for results
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are executed on time, to cost and to quality specifications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively convey engineering priorities and concepts to all levels of the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to demonstrate advanced mathematical skills
• Ability to travel up to 30%
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, and climb frequently and to squat, kneel, bend, twist, or crawl occasionally.

The position also requires working long hours from time-to-time as business necessitates.
