Description Performs a variety of duties, under strict time constraints, including handling cash and/or checks in a secure environment for internal and external clients. Responsibilities may include: receiving deposits from armored carriers or internal departments, opening bags, verifying deposits, reviewing for fraud, preparing adjustments, crediting accounts, processing payments, sorting bills, filling currency/coin orders, preparing cash deposits for shipment to the Federal Reserve, maintaining proper records, and reconciling balances. Performs deposit processing functions and reconciles out-of-balance conditions. Maintains compliance with all bank policies including state and federal regulations. Equipment operation may include calculators, Opex machines, bursters, computers, currency and coin counting machines. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime, weekend and holiday work may be required. As a Cash Service Representative you are the receiving associate for our cash vault. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, counting and receiving deposit bags from the armored couriers, processing key bag numbers and dollar amounts into the computer and reconciling the number of bags accepted from the armored courier. In addition, you may utilize high volume equipment to process, sort and reconcile a high volume of coin deposits. The environment in which you work is a high volume production and security monitored area. You will be required to meet production goals, meet department deadlines, and will be responsible for all logged deposits. For more information, please visit bankofamerica.com Division Highlights Cash Services (CS) is comprised of four specific operational functions: Vault Services, ATM Deposit Services, Bank by Mail, and Remote Image Capture. Associates working in the Vault Services locations process deposits, verify cash components of deposits and provide change orders of currency and coin. ATM Deposit Services sites process deposits received at ATMs. Bank by Mail units process transactions received through the mail from consumer customers. Remote Image Capture sites capture deposited checks and provide same-day credit rather than having to physically transfer paper to a Bank of America check processing location. Cash Services is organized into 3 regions: North, South Central and West. There are 125 strategic vault locations; 61 of which are owned and operated by Bank of America. In other markets, customers are serviced by contracted suppliers. Vault Services supports a network of 6,100 banking centers and supplies currency for many of the 18,500 bank-owned ATMs. Deposits received at ATMs are processed in 9 ATM Deposit Services sites. Transactions received through the mail are processed in 2 Bank by Mail operations units. Qualifications Requirements: At a minimum must have: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Strong math skills * Flexibility; if work completed before end of shift will be released * Ability to work overtime, weekend and holidays as required with minimal notice * Experience handling a high volume of cash * Attention to detail * Complete tasks error free and in a timely manner * Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures * Maintain compliance with bank policies to include state and federal regulations * Concise and legible writing skills * Work as a team player * Must be able to work in a closed environment * Work under strict time constraints moving easily from one task to another * Ability to operate adding machine, and use 10 key skills.
