Adecco has an immediate opening for an Depot Buyer on a 6 month contract opportunity with a leading company in Cupertino, CA. Hours 8am-5pm Pay: 30-38 p/h Summary: The Depot Buyer is responsible for managing service parts supply for their assigned commodities. This person will be a key interface with Depot repair facilities for material related issues. A successful candidate must be a high-energy tactical execution expert and a team player. This position requires a combination of purchasing/supplier management acumen with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply issues to achieve outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Execute purchase orders based on requisitions released from planning. - Manage accuracy of open purchase orders. Ensure suppliers confirm all purchase orders and provide committed ship dates. Reschedule/modify past due delivery lines in SAP and track deliveries until received. - Achieve target fill rate, minimize backlog, and drive rapid backlog recovery. Own the daily reporting and follow-up of all unresolved supply issues and update systems with latest delivery commitments - Expedite supplier deliveries as needed. - Collaborate with internal teams as needed to resolve issues. Build the necessary relationships with these contacts to be able to successfully influence and manage escalations on a daily basis. When needed, escalate to your direct manager. - Work with cross-functional team members in Engineering, Planning, Commodity Managers, Warehouse, and OEM/ODM suppliers to execute the most cost-effective supply chain solutions. - Partner with Global Commodity Manager to drive improvements in supplier performance on key metrics. - Work with warehouse on material receipt issues and resolve any issues on a daily basis. - Partner with warehouse to manage RMA processes. - Manage RMA turnaround (repair or credit) with suppliers to achieve target metrics. - Work with Accounts Payable and Finance to resolve invoice and credit processing issues. - Maintain relevant purchasing data in the systems. - Work with logistics team to track critical shipments and resolve any transportation or customs issues. Depot Materials Management: - Meet with the Depot's daily to review materials status and resolve issues related to planning, receiving, material shortages, and RMAs. - Oversee the Depot staff RMA coordinators and act as the functional process owner for the Depot RMA process. - Support process improvement efforts originating from the Depot team or GSSC as they relate to each other. - Support NPI material readiness activities for new business awards - Act as the voice of the Depot for interfacing with other GSSC planners and buyers. - Provide regular presentations to management on status of material availability at the depots. - Support Depot quarterly business reviews as required.
