Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Shipping recruitment

The Group’s Headoffice is located in Hong Kong with regional offices in Singapore, Houston, Rotterdam and Geneva. Over the years, the Group has grown to where its business activities today include Oil Exploration and Production, Shipping, International Marine Bunkers and Oil Trading as well as Oil Storage and Terminal. The Group reported annual revenues of approximately HKD39, 553 million and employed around 1,500 staff worldwide. The Brightoil Group aims to transform itself into a global multi-national energy conglomerate, with an Asian heritage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist to oversee the formulation and administration of the Company's financial policies and develop long term financial goals and objectives.
- Reporting to the Group CFO, CFO (Shipping)and Singapore CEO, Shipping Division while working closely as business partner with the day-to-day operation businesses.
- Work with the Singapore Company DepartmentHeads to create budgets and financial plans and provide a suite of management information for monitoring financial performance.
- Design implement effective control measures to ensure efficient and accurate business operations are in place.
- Prepare reports that summarise and forecast organisational performance against both the annual budget and plan
- As member of leadership team of the SingaporeShipping Division, actively participate in key business decisions
- Enabling cross business groups solutions to financial issues.
- Work closely with other business/functions within the Group
- Build and develop relationship with banks and other financial institutions
- Lead financial team and set service standards on delivery of financial services
- Coordinate with external auditors and other authorities on regular basis
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree/Master in Accountancy with further internationally-recognised professional qualifications
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in senior leadership role advising management on financial matters impacting business performance
- Experience in financial/shippingindustry will of advantage
- Has prior background in banking and maintains business contacts with banks oven track record in leading a successful team of financial professionals
- Ability to develop strong and effective internal and external relationships at different levels
- Good understanding of accounting principles and policies in key business locations
- Excellent interpretive and analytical skills to understand and assess the financial impact on the business
- Good understanding of operational processes, business complexities and interdependencies
- Well verse in SAP, other shipping software, knowledge in computerize control functions and setup
- Able to work under high pressure, committed and able to communicate well with management, good leadership and adaptable to a fast changing environment, mixed eastern and western culture
- Being bilingual in English and Mandarin will be of advantage
