We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our Finance department as a Deputy Director, Finance Specialist.
The Deputy Director, Finance Specialist supports the Director, Finance in managing the financial responsibilities of the MTA Finance Department including; maintenance of the derivative portfolio, the execution of new interest rate and commodity derivatives, maintenance and monitoring of the lease portfolio, refunding analyses, structuring of bond and note transactions, assisting with development and maintenance of the comprehensive debt service and refunding model, assisting with disclosure requirements, financial reporting, evaluation of financial products proposed by investment banks, rating agency presentations and communication with the investment community.
This position is most critical in ensuring quantitative quality control in all transactional and reporting matters of the Finance Department.
BA (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or Management required. Minimum of ten (10) years public finance experience plus, an in-depth understanding and knowledge of bond amortization schedules, derivatives, the municipal bond market, the LIBOR market, Securities Exchange Commission disclosure rules (15c2-12) required.
Excellent communicative, strong quantitative and financial modeling, exceptional administrative and proven project management skills required.
