Deputy Finance Manager

The Deputy Finance Manager supports the Portfolio Finance Manager in providing leadership within the Portfolio to support delivery of an appropriate Financial Risk Rating and or contribution margin leading to improved financial performance. To role also provides accounting and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues

Working as part of the Portfolio management team, the Deputy Finance Manager will provide financial input into strategic decision making, ensuring the continuous development of financial information and integrating new sources of information.

The key areas for results will include, finance and business planning, reporting, financial training and maximising income. There will be a number of working relationships with both finance and non-finance staff, within finance procedures and operations.

You will be CCAB/CIMA Qualified or Part Qualified with a background in the NHS, Public Services or a service oriented £100M+ commercial company. You must have at least 3 years experience in financial management and significant knowledge of management accounting, performance reporting and performance management. Experience must also be in developing business cases and it’s vital that you can demonstrate strong influencing and negotiations skills.

You will be highly communicative and able to present complex financial information at all levels and experienced in supervising staff as this role will manage a team of 2.
Highly motivated with dedicated strong work ethic and be IT literate with experience in ledger systems.
