Deputy Head of Operations (Asset Management) recruitment
Responsibilities:
Operations
• Assist the Head of Operations
o Managing the operations team
o Career development, maintaining and enhancing the team through training and team building
o Ensure controls are in place and FSA requirements met.
o Minimise risk
o Set up and manage, where needed, service level agreements with 3rd parties
o Identify and manage key MI and reporting to the business
Project Management
• Planning by creating a list of tasks that need to be carried out for each deliverable
• Organising
• Manage resource
• Manage Risk logs and issue logs
• Successful completion of specific projects
• Build and maintain good relationships internally and externally with the development team and 3rd parties.
Other
• Enhance, create and ensure adherence to internal customer operational procedures
• Maintain and enhance operational systems
• Interface and provide support to the business for the resolution of queries
• Maintain relationship, as necessary, with other departments to ensure procedures and controls are adhered to at all times
• Identify new/changes to procedures, draft and discuss changes where necessary for approval and provide suitable solutions that meet the clients (internal and external) needs.
• Provide clear and relevant updates to clients (internal and external) and colleagues to build client confidence.
• Act promptly and professionally to resolve client (internal and external) and colleague enquiries/concerns.
• Actively subscribe to company’s Treating Customers Fairly initiative and company mission
• Deputise for the Head of Operations in their absence
• Other ad hoc duties, as required by Head of Operations
Skills
• Project Management experience preferable
• High level of business acumen
• Team building and management skills
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to see things through to their logical conclusion
• Ability and willingness to identify and suggest improvements
• Identify new/changes to procedures
• Ownership and Initiative
• Good knowledge of operational workflows
• Good analytical skills
Knowledge
• Understanding of operational process workflow
• Proven track record in Project Management preferable
• Extensive operational exposure necessary
• Understanding and knowledge of Regulatory/Compliance requirements
Qualifications
• Professional qualification required
