Deputy Head of Operations recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the asset servicing function, including corporate actions, income processing, withholding tax recoveries and class actions
- Oversee the trade matching, processing, settlement and cash management functions
- Support Head of Operations in wider operational programmes of change and improvement.
- Provide and improve on the production of management information.
- Oversee control report production and develop new control processes relating to trade matching records, reconciliations, tax, fees interest, process improvement registers etc.
- Ensure identification, monitoring and reporting of all operational risks and KRIs.
- Assist with staff development through appraisals, training and practical functional self-improvement programmes.
- Monitor Custodian performance, risk profiles and compliance with SLAs and SSAE16 control reports. Develop custodian KPIs and common reporting capability and assist with RFP process
- Ensure production and filing of all documentation; external regulatory requests, KYC requests, broker documentation etc.
- Assist management in the review of stock lending
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
- Educated to degree level
- Solid experience in all asset management functions including Tax, Income, and Class Actions etc.
- Solid experience in all transaction management functions.
- Solid knowledge of settlement issues and legislative requirements and the ability to liaise with external parties on behalf of the Office.
- Solid demonstrable trade lifecycle knowledge and experience over a number of asset classes
- Solid staff management, development and motivational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to gain credibility with senior management, Head office and external parties.
- The proven ability and success of testing and overseeing new technology functions within Operations.
- Programme management of automation and STP initiatives valuable.
