Deputy Head of Private Banking Compliance $70-90K/ month recruitment

The Company

Due to business growth an opportunity has arisen to supervise the team of 3 as a Head of Compliance. This private bank continues to break new grounds in advising the clients on strategic transactions, pioneering the global expansion of finance and capital markets, and providing new opportunities for high net-worth individuals and professional investors.

The Role

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing compliance coverage for the private banking business. This role reports directly into Head of Compliance:

- Leading the Compliance team to develop and review the local compliance manual and ensuring its adherence by staff via monitoring of exceptional reports
- Leading the Compliance team to conduct compliance monitoring review of various functions and activities
- Participating actively in all new business initiatives and commercial activities for assessing the compliance risk
- Maintaining internal corporate governance of entities and ensuring the lodging of all related return in timely manner
- Establishing a compliance culture and compliance monitoring framework
- Handling all ad hoc requests in relation to compliance
- To deal with local regulators and to act as liaison between Hong Kong and Head office in compliance matters
- To ensure the entities are compiled with local Anti-money Laundering Regulations and Guidelines as well as Head Office AML Policies

Your Profile

To be a successful candidate, you will require:

- University graduate in Law, Accountancy or Corporate Governance
- Minimum of 6 years of compliance/internal control experience in financial services industry
- Strong understanding of the regulatory legislation and documents with solid experience in developing policies and procedures
- Detailed-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Great team player and willingness to take up challenging responsibilities
