Deputy Head of Risk Management (Private Equity) recruitment
Our client is a reputable financial group. High calibres are now invited to apply for the following position:
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough financial and risk assessment and credit proposals of private equity (PE) investments in companies, and perform corporate risk analysis for other businesses, if necessary
- Conducting research analysis, reviewing due diligence reports of prospective private equity investment/fund investment, and monitoring risks of PE investment projects, and other corporate risks if needed
- Performing quantitative financial modelling and investment analysis of fund models, and macro- and micro-economic analysis
- Evaluating various PE fund structures, and potential implications
- Performing/verifying valuation of equity investments in investee companies
- Development/maintenance of PE models, stress testing and portfolio analysis
- Helping preparing various reports relating to risk management or other related topics to senior management, and developing new reports as appropriate
- Vetting of legal documentation and provide appropriate recommendation(s) to revise the legal documentation to ensure protection of the firm’s interests as an investor
Qualification
- Minimum 10-12 years relevant experience of corporate credit analysis, including a minimum of 5 years private equity risk management experience in China
- RMB Fund experience / experience working in risk management of private equity firm / international investment bank is required, preferably with experience in PE funds of funds
- Detailed knowledge of PE investments in China is essential, including regulatory and taxation issues
- Experience in liquidity risk or other risk areas a definite advantage
- Able to work independently, diligently, self-motivated and consistently delivering excellent performance
- Preferably MSc. in Finance, Statistics, Risk Management, Mathematics
- FRM/CFA/CPA qualification an advantage
Other Skills
- Solid experience in PE investments in China
- Excellent knowledge of private equity landscape, legal and regulatory requirements of PE market in China
- Astute understanding of various PE fund structures and implications in China
- Proficient in Bloomberg, Word, Excel, VBA, Access programming etc. are essential, and in SAS and SPSS added advantages
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluency in Mandarin at or near-native level
- Well-versed in credit risk management of corporate in various industries
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative aptitude
- Tactful and good inter-personal skills
