Deputy Manager Job in Leicester, Midlands Uk

The preferred candidate will cover for the Manager in his/her absence and help with the day to day running of the club. Providing play care within the framework of the club's policies and procedures will be required. The role consists of interacting with children attending the club, parents and carers, club management and play-related organisations.

The main duties for this role entail
Helping the manager with the planning and preparation for the club and providing a safe environment for the children.
Collecting children from school and delivering them safely to parents
Providing refreshments and ensuring hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
Administering first aid when necessary
Consulting with children and ensuring they are involved with planning activities
Ensuring parents are involve with club activities and children development
Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
Working with a framework of the clubs policies and procedures

The candidate will ideally have an appropriate Level 3 qualification, also experience with dealing with children ages 4 to 11. Experience of administration, able to understand the varied needs of children and their families and the ability to understand the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care. The ideal Candidate should have an understanding of equal opportunities, good communication skills and work within a team. Desirable qualities would consist of appropriate child protection training, and a food hygiene certificate
