Job Description: Job Description Deputy Store Manager Washington DC $45,000.00 My client a very HIGH end national retailer and, manufacturer of premium 35mm cameras, lenses, digital cameras and Sport Optics is seeking candidates for a Deputy Store Manager position. The company creates premium optical equipment for the discerning consumer. My client is dedicated to developing cameras and optical instruments of the highest standards that inspire the artistic spirit of our valued customers. We are now opening our first corporate retail store in the US to bring the CLIENT experience in its purest form to the consumer. As the manager of the CLIENT Store DC you will be the face of the first CLIENT Corporate Retail Operation in the US. Candidate must be based in Washington DC or neighbouring areas. Job Title bull; Deputy Store Manager CLIENTStore DC and CLIENTStore DC Website Reporting to bull; General Manager Reportees bull; Sales Associates of above operations Location bull; Washington DC Primary tasks Ultimate responsibility for the operational efficiency of the Store, Training Program (CLIENT Akademie), Gallery and Website Working with Director of Corporate Retail and President to develop and implement an integrated sales plan involving the store, store website, networking, CRM and Akademie events Select and develop the store team to ensure consistent operation at the highest retail standards Prime key holder to store and internal security Core Responsibilities Be a genuine brand ambassador understanding and living the desire and appreciation for the brand Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge for consumer and professional products Host or joint host for some of the evening guest events Development of CRM strategy for the store Motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency bull; Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control bull; Managing VIP relationships bull; Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits bull; Dealing with staffing issues: interviewing potential staff; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organising training and development bull; Executive management of weekly staff training meetings bull; Promoting the store and store website by liaising with CLIENT and third parties resources bull; Ensuring that the CLIENT store website is up todate and price/product correct bull; Work on the sales floor regularly, motivating staff, selling to customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues bull; To ensure the POS operation, cash handling procedures and transactions are carried out accurately and all orders and paperwork are completed bull; Such other duties as the President and/or Director of Corporate Retail may at times, reasonably require bull; Ensure store services and physical presentation is maintained at agreed standard Requirements bull; Maintain regular contact with key store customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction bull; Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees bull; Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values bull; Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments Operation bull; In store / via phone / via web Characteristics/skill-set of job holder Essential bull; LUXURY retail or LUXURY ELECTRONICS experience (5 years minimum) bull; Confident and articulate bull; Premium self presentation bull; Strong in building and maintaining positive relationships and able to communicate at all levels bull; Emotionally intelligent bull; Professional, energetic and positive approach bull; Goal oriented and self motivated to achieve and surpass sales and marketing objectives bull; Disciplined, organized, detail oriented bull; Numerate bull; PC literate (PC/MAC; Office; POS System: Imaging Software) bull; Ability to create, maintain and exploit at CRM database bull; Web Marketing experience Submit a cover letter and resume by email.
