Hays are working with this vibrant Community NHS Trust, which is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
The trust is looking for two Band 6 Nurse to lead their respective nursing teams in their clinical practice to provide safe, quality, patient focused care to clients, and to lead the timely assessment of patient needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and treatment. These are challenging environments where effective communication, resourcefulness and good listening skills will be essential attributes for success.
The following is a brief overview of the key skills and attributes required for these posts:
To demonstrate highly developed clinical nursing skills, acting as a role model and providing professional leadership, being a clinical advisor and educator to team members.
Using the appropriate evidence based approach, lead the implementation and continuous evaluation of nursing interventions to meet agreed goals.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with nursing and Allied Healthcare Professional colleagues, members of the Primary Health Care Team and wider health / social care / voluntary service networks to provide a planned co-ordinated, seamless service for patients/clients.
Lead the team to ensure the patient pathway is managed effectively, through timely admission and discharge planning to use beds to gain the most efficiency and effectiveness and to develop the Nursing team through appropriate leadership, delegation and support.
Day to day operational management of the team including the planning of the duty rota, implementation of policies and practices e.g., health and safety, infection control.
To be conversant with major incident and fire evacuation procedures. Be prepared to take the lead initially in an emergency in the absence of a more senior manager.
The post holder must participate in clinical and other audits as required. These positions are within easy access of the following locations; Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Leighton Buzzard Milton Keynes.
