Derivative Counterparty Manager recruitment
Erste Group Bank AG is the leading financial services provider in Austria and Central Europe.
Commanding a sound understanding of derivative counterpart risk, the role will involve working with the individual trading desks, sales, risk management, mid office and the portfolio management groupinpricing and managing CVA risk. Specific focus will be on using and developing models to analyse all imbedded CVA risks and pricing the CVA element of complex and esoteric derivatives.
Core product knowledge is required of derivatives and financial products for trading, pricing and risk management as well as good knowledge of counterparty risk models.
The Candidate:
The candidate will have a solid track record in either a Front Office or Risk Management position and will possess a good broad understanding of CVA from both a valuation and regulation standpoint, capital, collateral and clearing house issues, and be confident pricing and managing embedded risks on vanilla and exotic derivatives from a counterparty work perspective. In addition the candidate will have a strong quantitative background and experience in the implementation of CVA risk systems in other institutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analysis of all derivative counterparty exposures
- CVA pricing
- Assist in developing solutions to optimise CVA capital usage
- Support Risk management activity
- Working with the quantitative analysts in development and implementation of pricing tools and portfolio modelling
- High level attention to detail
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum three year proven CVA experience is essential
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Good verbal and written communication
- Familiarity with risk management pricing and valuation systems
- Degree essential in Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences or Economics. Post Graduate in the listed disciplines desirable
- Strong Excel and Visual Basic skills
- Fluency in German or other Central European languages beneficial
