Derivative Middle Office Rates Lead recruitment
As a Middle Office Analyst in FICC, you will provide support and management oversight to daily activities involving trade management and transaction lifecycle support, PL and risk management, issue resolutions and monitoring of Key Risks Indicators.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Hybrid role consisting of 70% prod work (Trade support) and 30% Tactical change delivery
- Face off to FO and Ops Stakeholders for the multi-asset class middle office function
- Develop and maintain very strong knowledge of the MO processes and systems
- Excellent problem solving skills analytical skills and the ability to present ideas/solutions clearly and concisely.
- Day to Day desk support – including trade validation, trade life cycle management, reconciliations, PnL, and all trade dated controls. .
- Influence Regional MO teams, Management as well as Trading/sales/COO at expert level
- Work closely with the desk to ensure our levels of control are continuously being questioned and improved.
- Owns delivery of a major tactical and strategic change within the multi-asset class middle office function
- Able to re-engineer processes by leveraging existing global / regional systems and models
- Manage ad-hoc global and regional deliveries (Reporting, RCA, booking model design etc)
- Potential to also covers Rates, Structured Derivatives and FX/Bonds for the APAC FICC business
Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:
- Solid interpersonal and client-relationship skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- 2+ years FICC middle office experience (Must have Credit / Structured derivatives experience from a top 10 IB)
- Ideally also has solid experience with Rates products (Structured Rates desirable)
- Fast learner with the ability to very quickly pick up system and process knowledge
- Excellent Excel skills and some VBA skills and experience of building tactical reconciliations would be highly beneficial
- Self motivated and able to influence/motivate others
- Solid understanding of Risk/control environments with proven track record
- Must be passionate about driving change and have the ability to consistently deliver
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and understand how to prioritize
- Self motivated and able to influence/motivate others
- Strong product knowledge in at least one of the products covered
