Derivative Operations Specialist, Director (Buy-side)

Derivative Operations Specialist (Director level) opening working for a well-established and leading global Financial Services firm providing Investment Management, Investment Banking and Wealth Management services. The business specialises in providing first-class level of service and invests in Fixed Income, Equity, Liquidity and Alternative products.

As Director in the Derivatives Operations team you will be focusing on the processing related to the regulatory requirements in the clearing of OTC Derivatives and providing enhanced risk oversight of the processes.

Your daily duties will include but are not limited to:

*Liaising with Portfolio Managers, Valuations, Pricing and other relevant internal teams to ensure portfolio securities adhere to the firms' business policies and procedures.

*Understanding key regulatory changes in the market that impact Derivative operations and working with internal teams to ensure regulatory demands are met.

*Processing responsibilities focusing on margin reconciliation review, cash management and trade processing.

*Working with various departments across the business to streamline the clearing margin process and create new work flow clearing processes.

*Involvement in ad-hoc project work around operational work-flows and legal frame work.

*Point of contact for all OTC related queries/ issues.

To qualify for the role you MUST have:

*Degree educated or equivalent (ideally in Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred)

*Robust Equity and Fixed Income product types knowledge and experience within a similar role.

*Extensive experience working on the Buy-Side of business.

*Proven experience of collaborating with colleagues across geographic and functional boundaries.

*Exceptional communication skills.

*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills to meet strict deadlines.

*Strong risk awareness.

*Ability to work autonomously.

Desired skills are:

*Experience with managed fund valuation practices

*Experience with collateral management

*Experience with counter-party credit risk reporting and management.
