Derivatives Accounting & Senior MIS Lead recruitment
The Derivatives Accounting MIS support person in Corporate Treasury is a key member of the Treasury Derivatives team who supports in monitoring various hedge programs - FAS 133 focused: Fair Value, Cash Flow and Net Investment hedges, provides MIS on its effectiveness and does day to day review of the positions. He/She is a key decision support person on debt, derivatives, etc accounting matters. He/She supports in various Management Reporting of derivatives matters and supports Other Finance and front office teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Daily interaction with Front Office and Other teams to provide real-time analysis and support for decision making
- Actively participating in the process of daily PL reporting for derivatives and hedge accounting results
- Providing support to various improvement initiatives to improve controls and gain efficiencies in financial processes and reduce PL volatility through adoption of best practices in the accounting for derivatives and hedge accounting
- Assisting in the building of models to support the daily valuation of hedges
- Acting as a liaison between Controllers, Derivatives and Securities Accounting, Front Office and Risk within Treasury
- Handling ad hoc requests from senior management and businesses
Skills
- Seven plus years of experience with significant time spent in Financial Planning and Analysis or Strategy role at a business unit or corporate level within a global financial services organization with a specific focus on FAS 133 related analytics, reporting and monitoring
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with proven track record of managing and converting large data sets into business decision making tools
