Derivatives Client Manager recruitment

UBS Operations has a strong client service focus and strategy. The successful candidate will be able to represent UBS Derivative Operations to a subset of our most important clients delivering and demonstrating our ability to offer a superior and improved Client Service. There is a requirement to build relationships and influence a wide range of individuals, groups and senior managers across the Operations landscape. This role sits within the Clearing Services OTC Operations group.

The Derivatives Client Manager is responsible for proactively managing client activity / issues on a daily basis to make sure the client needs are met. This will be done through report monitoring and liaising with the various product streams to improve the front to back process, while working in conjunction with all other client-facing units.

The role requires an understanding of the OTC products and landscape as well as strong relationship management skills. Knowledge of exchange traded derivatives would be of significant benefit.

As our operating model evolves to accommodate regulatory and industry change in the OTC Market, the service we are able to provide our clients will be a key differentiator. This team will form the foundation for supporting potential future OTC Clearing mandates.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly client relationship building meetings to discuss service provided/ review MIS and new initiatives
• Understand client preferences, ensure they are followed, and partner with CSO to ensure a consistent message is given to the client
• Perform root cause analysis on front to back processes and drive improvements
• Monitor reports daily to proactively manage client activity
• Provide training to clients where applicable
• Maintain relationships with internal partners

Requirements
Demonstrates sound understanding of client businesses and their specific needs and develops convincing ideas and solutions
Proactively identifies potential opportunities which will benefit both the client and the Bank
Identifies key influencers or likely sources of support and builds sound working relationships
Sees the need for, and benefits of, co-operating with individuals or teams

Able to identify key issues and generate new and/or creative ideas in response to opportunities in order to achieve a win-win solution for the client and UBS
Understands the basics of FI FX/CCT Operations, i.e. Products/Processes/Architecture
Able to advise clients; roll out e-tools; provide end to end solutions; support CLS 3rd party services

It is important to have a minimal level of technical knowledge in order be able to provide customers with answers in a timely fashion.
