Derivatives Collateral Technical Coordinator
Department Overview
The EMEA Collateral Department is an exciting and growth area of derivatives. The Collateral desk is presented with new challenges everyday from existing and potential new clients.
The Collateral Department support IOO and Custody clients and manage a high volume of collateral calls on a daily basis.
The Collateral Department thrive upon new challenges and partners work closely together supporting and cross training each other to be able to handle the demands of the clients.
Role Responsibilities
- This role is focussed on ISDA CSA documentation review and interpretation into the collateral system (Colline)
- The successful candidate will assist the Collateral Manager to ensure a complete and comprehensive review of all legal documentation, system data, and reporting
- Build plan to complete reviews, monitor, track and provide status updates to management and clients
- Leading and managing partners in a small team to drive performance and efficiency
- Conducting all aspects of the performance review process for direct reports
- Managing and monitoring the progress of other partners work, and providing final review and approvals
- Ensuring timely, accurate and complete set up of new and amended collateral agreements within tight deadlines
- Reconciling legacy agreement data between the collateral system and documentation
- Ensuring controls on collateral management process are monitored and exceptions resolved in a timely manner
- Ensuring accurate setup of all static data associated with products
- When necessary be flexible and willing to make adjustments to hours of working to ensure tasks are processed on a timely basis
- Working together with other parts of the business to provide excellent client service
- Understand the impact of transaction processing and reconciling items on other parts of the business.
- Compiling metrics and reporting for use by senior management and clients
Knowledge/ Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential
- Relevant experience in a Collateral role is essential
- Experience and understanding of ISDA Credit Support Annex and GMRA documentation and industry best practises
- Awareness of industry development and changes
- Good Excel/Word skills
- Working knowledge of Colline and Bloomberg of some benefit
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
