DERIVATIVES MIDDLE OFFICE

 

Manage the relationship with internal clients in the business units regionally and globally. Work with the business units in the roll-out of new derivatives products. Ensure that the derivatives usage policies, key controls in derivatives operations, hedge accounting policy and documentation are followed. Oversee derivatives valuation, implementation of derivatives strategies, PL attribution and derivatives risk measures. Communicate with business unit management, derivatives accounting, asset liability management etc to address concerns regarding interactions of hedge accounting, capital and other issues of interest. Fully understand business unit requirements, products and timelines. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research into the business models of assigned business units to formulate a clear picture of the business model and understand the linkage between the products, the liabilities incurred, and the supporting assets and derivatives, and the reasons for certain management strategies being employed. Ensure that appropriate processes and infrastructures exist to accommodate and support the entire life-cycle of derivatives products or analytics. Establish good working relationships with derivatives system support to generate workable solutions and resolve issues quickly. Process improvements of operational functions. Designing new management reports and analytics. Manage staffs directly to accomplish the role requirements.

To be considered, you will be a university graduate or master degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics etc. Professional designation will be an asset. Knowledge in hedge accounting under IFRS, US GAAP and Japan GAAP is preferred. Minimum 7 years of investment operations/accounting experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in derivatives products. Sound fundamentals in understanding the valuation of moderately complex interest rate, equity, FX, inflation, credit and energy derivatives and Greeks. Working knowledge of derivatives markets and pricing conventions in various global markets. In-depth knowledge and direct Middle/Back Office career experience in exchange-traded and OTC derivatives. Experience with Findur and an aptitude to grasp and use a new derivatives trading platform quickly. Project management experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to coach and motivate team member.
