DERIVATIVES OPERATIONS ANALYST
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform daily oversight of valuations, collateral management, trade capture and Life cycle events.
- Monitoring and liaising with derivative outsource partner to ensure timely and accurate resolution of all issues.
- Analyses and review of outsourcer SLA’s and daily responsibilities, to accurately measure service and identify areas of improvement.
- Provide support to investment management at all stages of the OTC Derivatives investment process.
- Support investment management in the development and implementation of new OTC derivatives.
- Participate in regular reviews of OTC outsourcer and counterparties.
- Review reporting for quality and content before distribution to clients and other internal teams.
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of internal controls and regulatory related changes.
- Contribute to the delivery of the OTC clearing project.
- Ensure existing procedures are up to date and identify improvements in procedures.
- Develop strong, pro-active working relationships with all internal and external clients.
- Participate in projects as required.
- Share specialist OTC knowledge with colleagues and clients.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the latest industry developments.
Core Skills:
- Accuracy and attention to detail required
- Problem solving and issues management
- Good PC skills, particularly MS Excel and preferably knowledge of Bloomberg
- Decision making
- Achievement oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Core Requirements:
- Investment operations experience essential
- Previous OTC knowledge desirable
- Stock Lending and ETD knowledge also desirable
- Experience of managing outsources relationships would be desirable
- Understanding of the full investment process
