The Centre Of Excellence (COE) is expanding the service model to incorporate full end to end service for Derivatives. Specifically this will entail the valuation of OTC products, validation of movements and accurate accounting of all OTC related activity including income, dividends, resets, corporate actions and pricing.
An opportunity exists for a person to work as an Administrator in the Derivatives Department. The candidate will be expected to have previous experience of working in a Fund Accounting operation. The candidate is required to demonstrate a good knowledge of relevant work processes and a broad understanding of related and interfacing activities. This should include a broad understanding and operational knowledge of fund accounting, trade settlement, reconciliation, derivative instruments and ancillary custody products / services. Ideally the candidate will have experience on MCH and the OTC Hub.
The role will involve a significant amount of contact with other internal groups within State Street. Strong communication skills are required.
Principal Tasks
- Timely and accurate completion of E2E COE related tasks by the specified deadlines.
- Incorporate specific Fund Accounting tasks, processes and controls into the COE E2E operating model.
- Facilitate resolution of outstanding issues and/or exceptions with other departments, e.g. Fund Accounting, corporate Actions, Market Data client service teams.
- Ensure that team members receive appropriate training
- Introduce and contribute new ideas / procedures to further streamline the operational processes.

Reporting to a Manager, this position is an opportunity for a suitable candidate to gain exposure to all areas of Custody and be involved in future developments in an expanding and dynamic company.
Qualifications
- Related Third Level Qualification e.g. Certificate, Diploma etc
- Minimum 2 years experience in industry / fund Accounting.
