The incumbent will manage the OTC Derivatives Middle Office team covering a broad range of OTC derivative products - Interest, Credit, Total Return - and all Middle Office services - trade capture, confirmation, lifecycle settlement. The team has many contact points including the client, internal departments (Accounting, Fund Admin), counterparties/brokers. The team is responsible for undertaking middle office services for a client(s) and ensuring issues/risks are pro-actively investigated to resolution. The team must ensure they meet client SLAs as well as internal department SLAs. The incumbent will be required to respond to client escalation as appropriate and take part in discussions with the client around new products/processes, providing support to SMEs in determining the best solution for new products/processes. The incumbent will be expected to help develop staff in addition to the services offered to clients.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent work experience required, minimum 6 years experience in a financial operations environment. MBA preferred. 6-10 years (with 5 years as a Derivatives Operations Supervisor preferred). Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. The incumbent should have a broad knowledge of OTC derivative products and processes. Incumbent should be knowledgeable of latest regulatory reforms (Dodd Frank/CCP). The incumbent will manage the day to day OTC derivatives team and will be expected to be a point of reference/escalation for the team WRT day to day issues of a process or technology nature. Incumbent will be expected to join select client calls as required and to take part in regular service reviews either via phone or in person. As a point of escalation there is a direct impact on the client relationship as well as the relationship of DSG with other internal departments, in addition to market counterparties. The incumbent will be expected to give direction to staff in terms of staff development as well as assisting the senior manager with development of the middle office processes/controls/services.
