Derivatives Reporter recruitment
Overview:
IFR, part of Thomson Reuters, is the world's leading source of capital markets intelligence and has been for over 30 years.
The Derivatives Market is a key and expanding area of coverage for IFR with the planned launch of a new weekly derivatives report to add to the growing roster of IFR-branded products. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated reporter to join the US team to cover derivatives across the Americas region, breaking news at the market-level as well as providing leading coverage of industry trends
Responsibilities:
The reporter will write features and break news across the breadth of derivatives asset classes. Coverage will primarily be for IFR, the weekly magazine and IFRe, the daily capital markets news service, as well as the planned derivatives product, but may stretch to other IFR or Reuters products. The reporter needs to be able to manage workflow across the relevant products and be able to write insightful articles to tight deadlines on a daily and weekly basis.
At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act. We combine industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to leading decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organization.
Skills
Experience covering derivatives is key, along with a proven ability to break financial markets news. The reporter needs to be comfortable talking to senior bankers and covering complex market-based topics in a manner that is accessible for broad financial market professionals as well as derivatives specialists
