DERIVATIVES SUPPORT MANAGER
Description:
A leading fund management firm in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Derivatives Support Manager, initially on a 6 months contract. This is a challenging new management role in the Derivatives Support Team with accountability for the oversight and control of service delivery from the company outsources partners to Investment Operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensuring technology and processes are adapted to meet the needs of product diversification and market developments.
- Measurement and analysis of service levels, the role will also have the accountability of optimising the quality of confirmation, monitoring, pricing and collateral management processes and controls.
- Evolving the strategic relationship with all Investment Services providers whilst maintaining daily management and control of `BAU` activities and staff.
- Support the Investment Operations area in process improvement and project delivery, particularly in relation to OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives
- Development and control of the processes and operating models which involve and affect Investment Operations ensuring all relevant systems and persons are updated and involved
- Analysis and review of outsourcer SLAs and daily responsibilities, to accurately measure service and identify focus areas within the services.
- Manage and develop a small team.
- Maintaining well controlled documentation and MI. Provision of updates and reports to all relevant parties eg Team managers, outsource partners, Senior Manager, etc
- Provide consultancy and specialist advice to all areas where appropriate.

- The ability to work accurately and within timescales is also a key requirement.
Core Requirements:
- Extensive investment operations experience within both back and middle office environments including specific experience in derivatives (both Exchange traded and OTC)
- Understanding of the full investment process
- An up to date understanding of derivative trading and back office technology and operating models is essential.
- Investment Operations Certificate or Certificate in Investment or equivalent desirable System / project implementation skills and experience.
