An opportunity has arisen for a proven Assistant Vice President to work in Operations within the FICC Derivative Client Service and Settlements team. The team supports multiple client types and is responsible for the settlement and client service of a broad range of FICC derivative products (i.e. Interest Rates Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Notional Reset Currency Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Asset swaps, Swap options, Cap/Floors, Inflation swaps etc.)
This team will fall under the Cross product Derivative Operations group in Chester working closely with Middle office trade support and PL teams, Documentation and other product groups.
Successful applicants will be tasked with accountability for one of the following processes:
- Team leader with oversight of a FICC settlement group managing Settlements and client services
- Risk Management and control of all settlement processes within your team
- Create and maintain a controlled environment within your team
- Manage and control daily operations and processes within your team building a control framework and strong escalation procedures
- Manage the team to tight banking deadlines and break targets
- Understand Root cause analysis of breaks
- Use metrics to improve your understand and improve process
- Process improvements and projects/Initiatives
- Increase Straight through processing and eliminate manual touches in the process
- Ensuring integrity of information in source systems (both trade and counterparty information).
- People Management
- Driving results
- Managing internal relationships between Traders, Sales, Middle Office desk Support team, MO Product Controllers, Documentation team, agent banks and other Client Service groups
- Responsible for escalating all outstanding items/queries to senior management
