Ability to Obtain Interim and/or Final Clearances (Post Start) - US Citizenship Required about security clearance definitions Position Description The Support Equipment and Services organization in St. Charles, Missouri has immediate openings for entry level support equipment design engineers. These Individual will work in a team environment to provide sustainment and upgrades to Boeing designed Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used in a production test environment to validate Boeing product deliveries on various weapons programs. Individual responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) Development and documentation of moderately-complex software requirements (2) Development, design, and integration of software upgrades for ATE comprised of predominately commercial hardware and Boeing developed software solutions for automated testing in a lean production facility (3) System test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements and (4) Support resolution of problems associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. This position requires the ability to work within a fast paced team environment. Strong communication skills are essential as frequent contact with engineering, production and customer representatives is necessary to ensure requirements are met and customers are satisfied with test equipment features and functions. Preferred - General knowledge and is proficient in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (e.g., Avionics Intermediate Shop AIS, Tactical Intermediate Support System TISS, Servocylinder Test Set STS, Electrical Optical Test Set EOTS, Hybrid Test Set HTS, Intermediate Avionics Test Set IATS ) and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes. + Circuit Design Basic - Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design and packaging techniques. Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have experience developing software with C++? Do you currently, or will you by June 1, 2012, meet the criteria described in the Typical Education / Experience section of this requisition? Typical Education/Experience Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years experience or a Master's degree with experience. Other Job related information Preferred candidates will possess recent experience developing software utilizing Object-Oriented (OO) design principles. Familiarity and/or experience with C# and the .NET framework are a plus.
