Join us in making Cargill stronger, more customer-focused and more profitable. Position Purpose: The Design Consultant is responsible for design and analysis related to process, data, or information. The Design Consultant is also responsible for gathering and validating business requirements and translating business requirements into cohesive, integrated designs and software development specifications, writing and execution of test scenarios and scripts, and ensuring risks are mitigated or eliminated in partnership with the Business Process Controls Team. This position also considers integration of designs within and across the overall design solution. This position communicates within and across design teams, software development teams and business implementation to meet design requirements. Lastly, all designers are responsible for delivering quality designs that meet both business and functional requirements This position is on the Order Trade Settlement to Cash team. Order Trade Settlement to Cash (OTSC): Includes capturing the details of a contract to validate it and coordinate its execution. The process also includes providing support and services for customers related to order tracking, complaints, dispute resolution and product-related questions. Finally, it includes the activities required to invoice customers and collect payments. We are currently seeking individuals that have experience in one or more of the following areas: FSCM ECC FI knowledge in particular cash application. Principal Accountabilities: 25% - Requirements Gathering Identify, develop, and document business requirements across the design utilizing the following methodologies Existing documentation Requirements workshops Interviews with relevant stakeholders Best Practice knowledge and research Laws and regulations 25% - Requirements Analysis Analyze business requirements to determine if the requirement is related to: needs vs. wants fit vs. gap with the technology enablement Recommend solutions to design gaps 25% - Design Design process, data and/or information flow based on identified requirements Document and enable business requirements through o Process, data, or information functional designs o Translating business requirements into business process and systems design o Supporting BU data conversion and validation requirements, as necessary Identify risks and design controls to mitigate or eliminate risks Communicate designs within the design team and with other stakeholders such as SCC, CCE, etc. Work with the modeling team to ensure designs are properly modeled and updated in ARIS. Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure updates are made to the appropriate deliverables maintained in Clearquest Assist Solution Architects in assessing requests for solution enhancements from end users or other project teams as they are escalated Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve production issues if escalated to the project team 10% - Testing Develop and execute complex testing cases and scripts following quality management policies, procedures, and testing-related guidelines Proactively identify issues and risks Assist with User Acceptance Testing, as required 10% - Training Content Development Partner with Education Consultants to develop content for training materials based on designs Review training materials Deliver/support training of Super Users and BU users as needed Support "go live/hypercare" activities, including remedial training (if necessary), solutioning break/fix tasks and miscellaneous trouble-shooting 5% - Miscellaneous Duties as assigned Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience 7+ years relevant business experience and/or relevant SAP technical experience Knowledge of a process, data or information Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguous environments Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills including the ability to break down complex issues Ability to make decisions independently and apply solid judgment within scope or boundaries Strong collaboration and influencing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience facilitating meetings and/or group discussions Strong information research and gathering skills Preferred: Past project management experience Experience with at least 1 SAP module/component Past experience working with a global team Work experiences across multiple lines of businesses Experience leading integrated design validation sessions and confirming business requirements Ability to teach project and/or other support team resources about specific application functionality either through formal or informal training Ability to travel up to 20% on a regular basis with ability to travel up to 75% on a short-term basis to support specific project needs Configuration and design experience in ECC FI as it relates to Order to Cash processes, in particular cash application Configuration and design experience in FSCM as it relates to collections, disputes and A/R credit management Configuration experience Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting (statutory and external) Ability to identify information required to make critical business decisions Familiarity with technical requirements and system configuration
