General Job Objective

Manitowoc Foodservice - Sellersburg, a member of the Manitowoc Foodservice family of companies, global leaders in commercial foodservice equipment, is seeking an innovative, Engineer. Manitowoc Foodservice - Sellersburg is a part of Manitowoc Beverage Systems, Inc. (MBS) which is a leading distributor of beverage dispensing systems, installation components and replacement parts. Key responsibilities of this position include design, development and testing of Beverage Dispensing Equipment and Accessories, including mix of CAD, engineering calculations and some product testing. Reporting directly to the Manager of Engineering, this position is based in Sellersburg, IN.

Essential Job Functions

1. Design and Solid Modeling of Beverage Dispensing Equipment and Parts
2. Bill of Material Creation and Maintenance with Oracle Business System
3. Write Lab Test Requests and occasionally perform Lab Tests
4. Work closely with other business cross functions in order to speed launch timing
5. Apply structured problem solving techniques to eliminate product non-conformances

Job Requirements/Working Conditions

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
2. At least 3 years Mechanical Engineering and design experience is required, preferably with sheet metal and plastics.
3. Six Sigma certification Green Belt or higher from accredited source preferred
4. Application experience with electromechanical components (motors, solenoids, mechanisms, etc. is desired)
5. Must be proficient in Solid Modeling - Pro E Preferred
6. Project management experience is a plus.
7. Experience with MicroSoft Office is required Minitab experience a plus.
8. Must be willing and able to travel extensively to the manufacturing site initially, followed by 25% thereafter.
