BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Design and Development of Headlamps and Rear lamps
3-D CAD Design
2-D CAD Design, calculations, dimensioning,
Lead 2D Detailing
Design and development of Concepts/ alternative solutions, subassembly groups
2.0 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Detailed design of complex components and Headlamp or Rear lamp products,
considering functional requirements, tooling, manufacturing and plastic part feasibility,
implement part and product changes,
Create 2D assembly- and illustration Sheets
Creation of Engineering Bill of Materials,
Direct communication with customer, Project manager, suppliers, toolmaker, other functional departments like optics, electronics, manufacturing, quality assurance, Validation testing,
Simultaneous Engineering with Suppliers
Create and follow action identified in D-FMEA
Responsible to keep development milestones, respect customer specifications and requirements
Customer Liaison, if required on site during all phases of program
Monitor Data Transfers with the customer and vendors
Cooperate with Data Administration
Proposals for cost reductions
Other duties as assigned
Support part and lamp release process
Follow Engineering changes
