The Company:
My client is a world leader in the Design and Manufacture of safety critical equipment for a diverse industrial base. Their main manufacturing base is in Coventry, with a smaller manufacturing facility in China.
Their Technical Department is looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer, who is comfortable with all aspects of design. Whether it be creating new and innovative designs or practical discussions with our Production Engineers.
Responsible For:
Your main role will be to design and maintain cost effective products compatible with customer expectations.
Day to Day duties will include the following:
Design Engineers work on a project from the initial brief, through the design, development and testing stages, following the project through to final manufacture and implementation.
Working closely with members of other departments, to ensure their input is considered early in the design stage and ensure a smooth product introduction.
o Work in accordance with engineering procedures.
o Produce 3D models and detailed drawings.
o Support Development and Test activity.
o Carry out maintenance of design activity.
o Maintain product integrity.
o Support the implementation of Safety First.
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
o Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ideally).
o Experience on 3D CAD ideally Solid works.
o Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.
o A minimum of 3 years design experience (Essential).
