TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking an Design Engineer for one of our clients in Danbury, CT.
Job Description:
The candidate should be able to work independently but will probably be teamed with Mechanical Engineers. The candidate should have a good feel for mechanical design. Familiarity with optical components is a plus but not required, in lieu of that some experience with high precision mechanical assemblies is required. Experience in the Aerospace Industry is also desirable. The candidate should have experience creating detailed drawings of parts and assemblies. The candidate should have experience with generating Bills of Materials and Engineering Changes.

BOM generation 10%
Release/EC Work 15%
Overtime expected/required
Basic Qualifications : High School Diploma, equivalent. Associate Degree in Engineering preferred.
12-15 years as a Designer. Knowledge of current drafting standards including GDT. Familiarity with manufacturing and machine shop practices. Must be able to work well with others as well as independently. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with technical personnel.
At least 10 years of experience with ProEngineer is required. Some experience with Windchill (which is not common) or an equivalent Product Data Management system is required.
