Design Engineer Job in East Midlands, Midlands UK
Our Client, a successful engineering company, is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team based in the East Midlands.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role as Design Engineer will be to design and maintain cost effective products compatible with customer's expectations.
Duties within this role will include:
Working in accordance with engineering procedures.
Producing 3D models and detailed drawings.
Checking drawings conform to standards and for engineering integrity.
Supporting Development and Test activity.
Product verification and validation.
Attending and occasionally leading Design DFMEAs.
Performing stress calculations as required.
Carrying out maintenance of design activity.
Maintaining product integrity.
The successful candidate must possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and proven working experience of both mechanical engineering design and of using 3D Cad software. You will be well organised, a good communicator and work well as part of a team.
