Job Description
Case New Holland, a world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of broad ranging construction and agricultural equipment, has an opening for a Design Engineer. The selected candidate will provide engineering support for the “Dozer” product line to develop and enhance Case and New Holland “Dozer” construction equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Participates in the general design engineering design analysis of new and existing dozers
- Creates designs, layouts and detail drawings for components, sub-systems and systems
- Prepares change requests, parts lists, test and product evaluation requests and reports as directed to Lead Engineers to ensure that tasks remain on schedule
- Participates in problem solving and brainstorming processes while utilizing engineering calculations and concepts learned through education and experience to determine root causes of failure and make cost effective suggestions/recommendations to resolve design problems during product development, on the production line and in the field
- Incorporates engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into daily work tasks
- Participates in identifying and introducing cost reduction opportunities on new and existing products.
- Participates in identifying and introducing process improvement ideas within the dozer team.
- Assists in facilitating cross-functional communication between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Purchasing and suppliers, as well as other functional areas of the company, by participating in group and one-on-one meetings as necessary
- Contributes to the overall profitability of new and existing products
- Contributes to the decrease of overall product warranty activity
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or equivalent degree
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience with Construction or Ag. equipment
- Capable of utilizing Pro-E for design layout, part modeling and detail drawings. Must be able to apply Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing requirements on detailed drawings
- Competency with MS Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Excellent written verbal communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent personal organization skills
- Willingness to travel between CNH sites as required to complete assignments (
Assets:
- Product Development and/or Current Product Maintenance (CPM) experience
- Experience with major structures, hydraulic plumbing and /or engine installations will be beneficial
- Experience with Teamcenter
- Engineering Change Release Process experience
