Design Engineer Job in Stockton-On-Tees TS211WW, Yorkshire UK

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Design Engineer for a well established client of ours based in Stockton on Tees.

Your main duties will be:

- To assist the Engineers and Technical Manager with the detailing, desing, project management and issuing of project drawings and documents.

- Preparing Product General Arrangement Drawings c/w all engineering and design data, which will be issued to clients for review and approval.

- Primarily working within the mechanical and structual engineering design projects.

-Producing Detailed Engineeering Design for the manufacturing departments on both bespoke and high volume projects.

- Extensice use of Autocad LT 2008 and Solidworks 2011 to alter exising designs to clients requirements as well as producing original drawings for new clients and bespoke projects.

- Assist the Technical Manager with Design Calculation

- Project Engineering

- Assisting with subcontract / supplier control and management.

Education Qualifications

- Must have experience in a structual and or fabrication environment.

- Excellent knowledge of Solidworks packages

- Proficient with Auto CAD packages

- Ideally will be educated to a degree or HNC/HND level in engineering and discipline

- Must have experience working to a flexible workload

- Experience managing a number of contracts simultaneously

- Will ideally have a strong knowledge of engineering structures

- Must have Full UK Drivers license and own transport

The company provide a basic salary of £25,000+ pa depending on experience as well as a stakeholders pension, yearly individual and company profit related bonuses, death in service insurance and private health insurance. They also offer a holiday entitlement of 25 days + statutory which increases by 1 day after 4 years service up to a maximum of 30 days + satutory.

Hours of work are 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on Friday with 35 minutes for lunch.
