Following recent internal promotions they are looking to strengthen their Design Department with the appointment of a Design Engineer at their site in the West Bromwich area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing moderate engineering and/or design work using independent judgment to develop, improve, modify or streamline department projects, products, or specifications. Responsible for design integrity, cost, scheduling and manufacturability requirements as it pertains to the product.
You will complete assigned activities under general direction of the Design Team Leader.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will be academically qualified to at least HNC Level or above in Mechanical Engineering, plus demonstrate extensive related working experience of equipment/product design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ability to read and understand specification, fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings; Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly techniques; Knowledge of drafting standards for both structural and mechanical design; Knowledge using analysis software for calculating stress, strain, and fluid dynamics; Knowledge of project management functions are all fundamental essentials to be able to undertake this role.
You will be able to demonstrate significant competency with Autodesk's AutoCAD and 3D Inventor modelling software applications, along with excellent IT skills in Word, Excel, and other MS Office programs; Knowledge of Syteline would be advantageous as would strong Mathematical Skills (ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to a variety of non-standard situations).
Some travel may be expected both UK and overseas so a full and valid UK Passport is necessary and previous experience gained within Waste Water Effluent Treatment industry will be particularly advantageous.
