Design Methodology (CAD) Engineer Job in Ballston Spa 12020, New York US

We are seeking an engineer to become part of the world class design methodology organization. The candidate for this position will be responsible to develop, maintain and deploy GLOBALFOUNDRIES Analog and Mixed signal flow for advanced technology nodes of 28nm and below. The candidate is also responsible for developing and implementing advance CAD methodologies.

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

·         Develop and implement front to back analog and mixed-signal reference flows to enable 28nm, 20 nm technology nodes and below

·         Manage EDA tool qualification and integration into reference flow

·         Interface with GLOBALFOUNDRIES internal teams including customer support, PDK, DFM, Design service around the world to define flow requirements

·         Develop and implement advanced CAD methodologies

·         Support reference flow adoption for Foundry customers

 

Required Qualifications

 

·         BS degree in EE, Computer Science or related field

·         5+ years of experience in IC CAD support and methodology

·         Expertise with Physical Verification tools and flows (Mentor preferred)

·         Expertise with Parasitic Extraction flows and tools (Synopsys, Cadence)

·         Solid understanding of analog and mixed–signal design flows, as well as IC design and devices

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·         Masters and/or PhD in Engineering or related field

·         Experiences with Cadence Virtuoso Schematic editor, layout tools, VXL, etc.

·         SKILL, Perl Programming languages skill preferred

·         Excellent communication skills both oral and written

·         Collaborative and self-motive
