1.    Permanent Full Time

2.    $70,013 - $76,459 p.a. (plus superannuation and leave loading)

3.    Incentives under the TMR Rural and Remote Area Incentive Scheme

 

Accountabilities include:

·         Developing and quantifying transport infrastructure design models in the strategic planning, concept, development, and implementation phases of an overarching Road System Manager framework for the delivery of projects.

·         Managing and undertaking key components of the planning and design function for transport infrastructure projects to achieve successful completion within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.

·         Ensuring that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management procedures are adhered to.

·         Implementing the most suitable design process for project delivery, including investigating, analysing and conceptualising possible design options to meet project objectives.

·         Assist with the review of transport infrastructure design drawings and documentation provided by external design consultancies.

·         Providing technical advice and support in relation to planning and design processes for transport infrastructure projects. This can encompass corridor planning, program development, delivery, and finalisation.

·         Development of effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects.

 

Mandatory requirements:

·         A Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) qualification or acceptable equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution or

·         An Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) with relevant competency equivalence to the 3yr degree is acceptable
