Deskside Engineer recruitment
To provide a full range of IT support to internal departments.
- To provide prompt 1st line support from telephone and email requests to ensure operational problems are resolved as quickly as possible. Enter all requests correctly into Helpdesk system and escalate to 2nd 3rd line support as necessary.
- To contribute to production of standard configurations, documentation and procedures in order to streamline processes and produce efficiencies.
- To provide assistance and technical knowledge to aid implementation of Projects.
- Provide Microsoft Active Directory (AD) User network access accounts (local and remote) in order to provide secure and efficient access to email and systems.
- Resolve and respond to basic technical issues such as, user log in queries, user set up issues, and software/hardware issues.
- Prioritize issues effectively and provide internal users with feedback with resolution steps and timescales.
Skills
- General Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2003 +2008) and Exchange (2003 +2007)
- Experience in using Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Knowledge of basic networking technologies and troubleshooting methods.
- Would be highly considered if any of the following certifications were obtained. – MCP, MCSA 2003, MCSE 2003 and MCITP
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, energetic, willing to learn, and ambitious.
- 1 – 3 years of technical background and work experience.
- Good hardware and software troubleshooting skills
