Desktop & Application Specialist Job in Washington 20024, District Of Columbia Us

Responsibilities:

 

PC Installation and Maintenance

 

·       Install, configure, and maintain Intel based desktop and laptop hardware

·       Manage spare hardware pool and inventory documentation

·       Maintain Windows operating system patch levels and hot-fixes

·       Troubleshoot and repair general hardware and operating system problems (Tier 1 Support)

·       Primary point of contact to PC hardware vendors and service companies

 

Software Installation and Maintenance

 

·       Install, configure, and maintain BIO standard software application suite

·       Maintain software license inventory for compliance

·       Troubleshoot and diagnose general software problems and issues

·       Primary point of contact for PC based software and Open License programs

 

Miscellaneous

 

·       Manage “check-in/out” of spare and borrowed hardware such as LCD displays

·       Assist BIO staff with AV equipment in conference rooms

·       Documentation and inventory management for network hardware

·       Maintain service agreements for all printers and PC hardware

·       Participate in an on-call rotation for IT support group

·       Technology support for external BIO events and conferences when needed
