Desktop Engineer/ Project Engineer recruitment
The Windows 7 Engineer / project engineer will work alongside our client's Trade Floor Support team and Back Office Teams.
Required Skills
Experienced and seasoned desktop support engineers with project management skills to assist in this important migration project.
The individual must be able to identify and address the hardware, software, planning, scheduling and personnel issues pertinent to the implementation of an effective IT project.
- Minimum 2-5 years experience designing and maintaining a Windows environment.
- Relevant experience with Windows 7 and Office 2010 is essential
- Recent Win7 migration/upgrade experience will be very useful
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 desktop support experience would be a plus
- Project Management related qualifications are considered advantageous.
- Customer Focus – the ability to respond professionally and courteously to all our customers.
- Teamwork – candidates will need to be strong team players, who support their colleagues and share their skills.
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to own problems through to resolution.
- MSCE or equivalent considered an advantage
Additionally:
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Proactive – a desire to identify problems in the environment and resolve them at root cause.
- Ability to own problems through to resolution.
- Management of processes and interfaces between all IT areas with primary focus on providing business support.
Languages:
Fluent spoken and written English, with Cantonese an advantage
Candidates should be detail-oriented, have good communication and documentation skills and enjoy working in fast paced environments.
