Desktop Engineer recruitment
Global Technology Information Systems (GTIS) provides the support infrastructure for Information Technology systems, which are used by UBS Business, to support their activities. Onsite Services (OSS) is function within GTIS that provides desktop support to the Business, ensuring the quality and stability of the desktop environment to support requirements and activities requested by the Business.
Main Duties:
- Provide I.T. break fix and I.T. request services as scoped in the GTIS Service Catalog.
- Provide those services within the SLAs defined in the GTIS Service Catalog
- Second level support (after USC) for MS Office suite of applications and Outlook,
- Blackberry troubleshooting and support
- Deploy workstations for Trade floor clients
- Liaison with the Engineering Team for build specific issues for desktops and laptops
- Escalation of issues/ problems to appropriate owners/ teams
- SNOW ticket queue monitoring and management
- MDS application support and troubleshooting
- Ensure all work activities adhere to the bank’s policies and procedures
- Remote support for Sydney, Brisbane and Perth employees
Essential Technical Skills:
- Win XP and Win 7
- MS Office 2003 and 2010 application suite
- Market Data Applications desirable (IRESS, Reuters, Bloomberg)
- Blackberry troubleshooting and support experience

• At least 3 years in face to face I.T. desktop support, preferably in a large organization
• Experience supporting an Investment Bank highly desirable
