Desktop Support Analyst – Global High Frequency Trading (London) recruitment
An excellent opportunity to join a global market leading Proprietary Trading company specialising in High Frequency Trading in an Operations Trade Support role based in London. A privately funded company with offices in America, Europe and Asia and trading a number of strategies across all major asset classes. The key responsibilities will be responding to telephone calls, emails and answering requests for technical support. To assist in the maintenance and support of desktop PC’s, hardware, software, operating systems and printers. As well as identifying technical problems and conducting research to resolve issues and assisting with server installation and 1st line support for server systems. Occasional travel to data centre sites around Europe may also be required.
Requirements:
• Degree in information technology or network technologies related field
• Well-organized, good communication skills, and attention to details.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to build computer workstations
• Experience with Windows 7, Windows XP Professional, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to lift 30 - 40 pounds.
• Some related hands on experience in a similar type role preferred
