About the Job
This position in the internal Helpdesk provides support to staff on all company supported applications, software and hardware. Primary responsibilities include: managing support calls, troubleshooting applications and systems, managing Disaster Recovery environment. Candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills, with ability to distinguish between different problem types.
- Perform duties relating to the development, maintenance, and support of the organization's information technology.
- Provide phone/email/helpdesk-ticketing technical support to end users on hardware, software and network related problems such as setup, troubleshooting and repair of user systems
- Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
- Manage the Disaster Recovery environment
- Identify research and resolve technical problems.
- Strong problem solving skills and methodical troubleshooting are required
- Must have the ability to learn new skills and keep current with rapidly changing information technology.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and be able to work effectively with all employees
- College graduate degree a plus of related college course work or must have 2-3 years of work experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Software, SharePoint, Active Directory, Enterprise Antivirus software
- Extensive knowledge of PC/Laptop hardware, software configuration, including operating system
- VMware ESX 5.0 experience desired
- MCP Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN WLAN
- Participates as a team member with good communication skills. Basic organizational and time management skills. Able to organize and manage individual schedule and/or workload in a highly structured environment.
